TESTIMONIALS
"If you're looking for a landscaping company that genuinely takes pride in their work, I highly recommend Shirescapes Ltd."
ABOUT US
Founded in 2021, Shirescapes is a landscape construction company specialising in high-end gardens, combining exceptional craftsmanship with a genuinely personal approach.
At the heart of Shirescapes is Managing Director Harry Birtles, who brings over 15 years of experience working on prestigious landscaping projects. Unlike larger landscaping companies, Harry is personally at the forefront of every project we undertake. He is not simply overseeing the work from a distance — Harry is the project lead and lead installer on every Shirescapes project, working on site alongside our team from start to finish.
We deliberately take on one project at a time, allowing Harry and the team to give each garden their complete attention. This means our clients have a consistent point of contact throughout their build and can be confident that the same care, expertise and attention to detail discussed at the beginning of the project carries through to the final installation.
Supported by a skilled, friendly and approachable team, Harry works closely with clients, garden designers and trusted trades to deliver beautifully constructed outdoor spaces where quality and attention to detail come first.
For us, the personal touch matters. Every garden is different, every detail is considered, and every Shirescapes project receives our full focus from beginning to completion.

Shirescapes came highly recommended by our garden designer, Rory Andrews. From the very first meeting Harry understood what we wanted. He also understood how we live and how he could work with us. The project took a couple of months through the wettest winter/early spring imaginable. Harry and George pressed on through wind and rain and never once knocked off early or complained. The project was finished on time and to budget - despite some changes along the way. Harry has an exceptional eye for detail and everything he does is thoughtful and precise. The finished garden is better than we could have imagined and throughout the work Harry and his team were a delight to have around. Always cleaning up at the end of the day and always detailing what had been done and what was happening next. Rather than just working to a brief Harry is always thinking about what could be improved or changed as the project took shape. A real craftsman as well as creative. I would not hesitate to recommend Shirescapes. 100% delighted.Posted on Google
KubaJuly 24, 2026If you're looking for a landscaping company that genuinely takes pride in their work, I can't recommend Shirescapes Ltd. highly enough. They recently completed our patio, and the quality of the workmanship was outstanding. Their attention to detail was exceptional from start to finish. Every aspect of the patio was carefully planned and executed, resulting in a finish that exceeded our expectations. They kept to the agreed budget with no surprises, completed the work on time, and maintained excellent communication throughout the project. The team was punctual, professional, respectful, and clearly passionate about delivering a high standard of work. They left everything clean and tidy each day and made the whole process completely stress-free. If you want a landscaping company that's reliable, highly skilled, and delivers exceptional results, Shirescapes Ltd. is an easy five-star recommendation.Posted on Google
Mel HawkinsNovember 11, 2025Shirescapes Ltd have been helpful and professional from start to finish on our small garden project. Harry overcame any changes in the plan and came up with improved design ideas. Harry and George were organised, tidy and reliable. I would recommend them highly, in fact, we have had knocks on the front door asking for Shirescapes contact details. Thank you for creating an oasis to sit in, another outside room for us to enjoy. Sally ASeptember 28, 2025Harry and George spent several weeks with us this summer putting down a large new patio, and replacing a gravel drive with block paving, and it was an absolute pleasure to have them here every day. It was clear from the outset how knowledgeable Harry is about every aspect of landscaping, and we felt completely confident in the many ideas and suggestions he came up with. He designed both projects himself, producing detailed images of what the finished patio would look like. His costs were very competitive, and both projects ran to time and within budget. Harry and George are perfectionists, and every aspect of the work was completed with the greatest care and professionalism, from digging out and preparing the base, to the beautifully finished paving, low retaining wall and inlaid brick pavers. They dealt calmly with unexpected elements such as uncovering an old rainwater cistern beneath the patio, finding solutions quickly and efficiently. We would not hesitate to recommend Shirescapes to anyone requiring any kind of landscaping. Our patio area and drive have been transformed, as the photos clearly show!
